AJB Inc has been using RepConcert for over a year and are very happy with our selection. It took us a year of research to select a CRM that would allow us to easily convert our existing ACT! contact management software to a web based CRM solution.

 

 Our criteria for a CRM was based on:

PDA cell phone contact information and calendar synchronization

A feature that has really saved me lots of time is the Mail Group section on the e-mails tab. Since I set up e-mail groups by company I can blast e-mail all of a company’s branches with one e-mail instead of fifty.

Intralec has been searching for a better way to coordinate our contacts, track opportunities, create reports, and share information internally, and externally. We have looked at some .com solutions, some packaged CRM products, and some “customized” agency software, but we haven’t found them to be to our liking.

 

We tried RepConcert, and we have found it to be a good solution for many of our issues. As we are still novices in its use, we are constantly discovering new tools within the program. Some of the benefits that have been derived are:

 

The program is designed for the electrical industry. Many of the fields are specific for our customers and their contacts

 

RepConcert has reacted to a number of suggestions, in making the software more usable for our needs

 

The server is off-site. It is fast, secure, and reliable, and has lots of space and bandwidth. We have made use of it by adding most of our sales reporting, quotations and documents, which are shared with our sales staff. We constantly update this information. Our sales staff like the instant retrieval, and I like the reduction in emails and phone calls searching for information. We plan to add price and cost sheets next.

 

The territory updates will be my next challenge. We intend to use this function to produce reports for our suppliers

 

The product is very reasonably priced. It is affordable for all Rep firms.

 

The program forced us to consolidate, cleanse, update and monitor our database. It was a time consuming task to start, but in the end we have much better data.

 

The collaborative opportunity in the program is still the highlight. In the near future, we hope to share opportunities and customers with multiple manufacturers. This could bring better information and feedback to all parties, and help us write more business together.

I have used several tools for sales organization and communication over the years that have proven both helpful and detrimental to my efforts. I have not found one complete system that can cover all the needs of a solo sales rep or an organization with inside and outside sales reps working the same customer base. However, RepConcert has the ability to collect input form several users and manage that data for all to review in real time through an internet interface. This has allowed our Inside and Outside sales force to collaborate on the same opportunity as it develops. Allowing improvement to our internal sales communication and speeding the delivery of quotes and other documents to our customer base.

 

A bonus feature to RepConcert has allowed us to reduce the amount of computer time spent in developing the ever growing need of reporting opportunities to out factories. The factory can either view the data through restricted viewing of the system or RepConcert can be setup to generate a report though a preset request and deliver the data to me for final drafting and submittal.
